Our growing Patient Access Service Center is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service access needs and then offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of Spectrum Health's customer service policies and be well-trained in scheduling & access knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.
* Answers incoming customer calls regarding scheduling needs, system navigation problems, and general questions
* Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller
* Update customer information in the patient database during and after each call
* Work with the management team to stay updated on patient access and service knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience - 2 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in customer-facing service on phone or face to face; customer service, high volume call center, medical billing, insurance environment relevant to benefits, provider contracting, claims processing, and/or managed health care
Education - Associate's Degree or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Completion & application of Medical Terminology course
Previous call center experience
