Creative Website Designer

Overview

We are looking for a talented and creative website designer to join the Ecommerce team. You will be involved in creating and maintaining content across our ecommerce platforms and online sales channels.

As a web designer you will work closely with the creative team to transform their ideas into web best practices; focusing on accessibility, SEO, and modern, semantic HTML.

You'll work with key partners on site requirements, creating mock-ups, and designing layouts while balancing the usability, visual appeal, and technical feasibility of the designs. You will also have the opportunity to plan and execute projects, as well as improve the overall quality of the website.

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - HYBRID Working Schedule: 3 days/week in our West Bridgewater office, 2 WFH

Responsibilities

1. Create wireframes or mockups for web pages and applications
2. Design layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices
3. Design graphics, icons, and logos in line with company branding policy
4. Work with developers to implement visual elements of websites
5. Research and evaluate new design trends
6. Establish and maintain design standards and best practices
7. Edit content, debug code and re-design web pages
8. Testing website features and functionality

Qualifications

1. Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
2. Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field
3. 2+ years experience as a graphic designer or in a related field
4. Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
5. Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, XD
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical ideas to non-technical team members
7. A strong eye for visual design and composition
8. Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
9. Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, and multimedia design
10. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
