DescriptionJob Summary:The Hub Data Architect is the interface between the Requirements Team and the Development Team.Responsibilities: Development of XML and JSON artifacts (schemas, samples, etc.) Close coordination with Requirements team Participation in Scrum team activities Meetings with CMS, other government agencies and contractors (FFE, CCIIO, CMCS, states, DHS, IRS, etc.) Respond to technical questions from CMS and states Working with Testers and Developers Peer code reviews Documentation reviewsPrimary Work Products: XML Schema and/or JSON Schemas Sample XML and/or JSON instances per service Schematron - to enforce business rules XSLT Spreadsheets - for data element tables and analyses Documentation (including README.txt to capture per sprint changes) XQuery WSDL - typically by Java Developers MagicDraw data models [for previously developed XML-based services with NIEM] Updates to Federal Data Services Hub Data Management Plan... (DMP) Updates to Federal Data Services Hub Data Quality Plan (DQP)Desirable Skills (not required but preferred): Hands-on experience with oXygen XML Editor or XML Spy Hands-on experience with XSLT Hands-on experience with Schematron Familiarity with REST and/or SOAP Familiarity with XQuery Familiarity with any commercial or open source data modeling tool Familiarity with ISO/IEC 11179, parts 4 (Formulation of data definitions) and part 5 (Naming and identification principles) Familiarity with NIEM Familiarity with any health industry standard (i.e., EHR, HL7, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), SNOMED, Federal Health Architecture (FHA), Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), etc.) Familiarity with WSDL Familiarity with other XML technology such as RDF Familiarity with MarkLogicRequirementsRequired Skills: At least 2 years of experience with data element tables to capture detailed data requirements At least 2 years of experience with XML Schema At least 1 year of experience with JSON At least 1 year of experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile development methodology and/or scrum team developmentEducation/Experience Level: B.S. or B.A.
