Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Strategic Partnerships 


REPORTS TO:     Senior Vice President - Strategic Partnerships 

COMPENSATION: 45,000 - 50,000



The Product Certification Program Coordinator works as a cross-functional colleague throughout the Space Foundation organization. This individual may also participate in trade shows, conventions, conferences, workshops, and other associated business networking and business development opportunities. This position also assists the Senior Vice President - Strategic Partnerships in the review and development of the branding, packaging, and marketing of the Space Foundation’s Certification Program and Certification Seal, and the sale of products, services, or events related to the Certification Program and Certification Seal. The ideal candidate for Product Certification Program Coordinator is a dynamic professional who is positive, productive, self-starting, skilled, and highly motivated. 



  1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the Space Foundation's Space Certification™ program, which recognizes and celebrates how technologies first designed for use in space are transitioned into technologies, products, and services to improve the quality of life on Earth via the licensing of the Space Foundation Certification Seal. 

  1. Providing exceptional customer service to the Certified Partners of the Space Foundation’s Space Certification™ program through active engagement, relationship building, and maintenance; and proactively identifying opportunities to champion each Certified Partner throughout the Space Foundation’s diverse portfolio of activities. 

  1. Coordinating with other Space Foundation personnel/departments and identified third parties to promote the significant and beneficial impact of the Certification Program and Certification Seal on our Certified Partners’ businesses, their brands, and their bottom line. 

  1. Enhance the value and integrity of the Space Foundation Certification Seal by engaging in outreach and Sales to expand the number of Certified Partners, advance the Certification Program, and bring public awareness to the down-to-Earth benefits of space exploration. 

  1. Encourage and support entrepreneurial spirit and innovation in the adaptation of space technologies to Earth-bound activities via coordination with the manager of the Space Foundation’s Space Technology Hall of Fame Program.
