CAD Designer

Job Description:

Using AutoCAD to create and design a variety of low voltage electrical systems for construction use and permitting. Working alongside others to gain knowledge in various scopes to build and improve drawings and efficiency.

Sufficient knowledge of how to use AutoCAD – if considered for the position there will be an assessment

High school diploma

Clean drug test

Preferences:

Some college experience in computer design

AutoCAD certification

Previous low voltage experience

Fire alarm design experience

What to expect:

An ideal candidate for this job would have experience using AutoCAD (any version from 2015 and beyond) enough to know basic terminology and use of layers, external references, blocks, templates, tables, paper space, model space and viewports. Previous two-dimensional designing experience is preferred. The junior designer would be expected to work closely with the other designers to learn different low voltage systems and requirements and how to design them in order to be able to aid and assist in designing construction documents.
