Production Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing a shift crew of 15-20 employees for secondary aluminum foundry and plant operations. This fast paced environment will require the Supervisor to ensure process reliability, quality specification, ISO 9001-2015 requirements, and have a focus for cost driven decisions. Supervisor will need to manage two melting furnaces, holding furnace and one casting conveyor line.
Essential Job Functions: Manage, crew of 15-20 employees. Coordinating Scrap to be put into reverb furnaces. Driving front end loaders and forklifts. Producing various types of alloys within designed specifications. Pouring metal disc samples, operating lathe, using spectrometer. Standardizing spectrometers. Operating molten metal pumps. Reporting for production, maintenance, and environmental requirements. Understanding of baghouse requirements and pressures with the ability to manage temperatures and flow using a damper system. Responsible for employee training, performance, safety, implementation of company policies and related human resource functions. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Familiar with aluminum scrap chemistries and alloying calculations. Proficient with new Material Usage Tracking system. Molten Metal Experience and casting manufacturing. Troubleshooting skills. Proficient with Computer use.
Minimum Education and/or experience required: Bilingual with English and Spanish preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
