General Manager

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity???  Located in a major auto row serving the San Francisco area is this exciting opportunity to build a dealership from the group up.  This position will oversee all operations of a prominent luxury brand dealership that serves the San Francisco area.  

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is a member of the senior leadership team and participates as a strategic partner in setting the Group’s direction.  The General Manager is responsible to ensure the profitability of the dealership through the oversight of the various departments which include variable operations (sales & financing), fixed operations (service & parts), and the business office (accounting & administration). It also has a joint oversight of the collision department in stores that have a body shop operation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish the dealership’s short, medium, and long-term objectives that align with the Group’s senior leadership team.

  • Develops and implements dealership operations plans to achieve monthly and annual forecasts.

  • Oversees the effective management of all inventory and facilities

  • Oversees the financial viability including the accurate reporting of the dealerships monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Prepares, manages and reports accurate budgeting statements that align with the Chief Financial Officer’s expectations.

  • Through effective leadership, develops highly productive, enthusiastic and loyal employees

  • Oversees the development and implementation of the dealership’s marketing and advertising initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills and management skills

  • Accountability for operational and financial performance

  • Financial analysis and reporting experience

  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience is not required, but preferred

  • Professional appearance and work ethic

  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment

  • Previous automotive General Sales Manager or General Manager experience is preferred
