POSITION Accounting Clerk

DESCRIPTION

This position staffs the Client Payee Office and is responsible for the full accounting functions for payeeship accounts, including auditing all activity for client accounts, receiving/processing/depositing client funds, preparing checks for disbursement, ensuring adequate funds, and communicating with treatment team members to reconcile accounts. Payee is also responsible for banking functions for both the Payee Office and designated Southeast bank accounts.

The Accounting/Payee Clerk will also be cross trained in other areas within the accounting and finance department to ensure continuity of services.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years working experience in accounting with emphasis on accounts payable. Proven computer skills in applicable software products and/or applicable areas of responsibility, with knowledge of automated accounting systems, spreadsheet application, and word-processing software. Individual must have good level of accuracy and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
