We are looking for an “SMH Mental Health Services – Program Manager (Head of Service)” located in Fountain Valley.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide effective program management, training, and support to the program staff. Monitor staff performance and hold them accountable to performance standards in a direct, clear, and professional manner. Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) to monitor the progress of your team. Attend stakeholder meetings as required. Ensure completion of all program-required documentation. Provide practical training to staff to ensure work performed equals work charted. Engage community partners to build collaborative professional relationships. Oversees and/or provides clinical supervision to the clinicians.

Provide effective program management, training, and support to the registered and/or licensed clinicians who provide therapeutic services to preteens-teens residing in two of South Coast Community Services’, 6 bed, short term residential treatment facilities (up to a 6-month stay) both located in Costa Mesa.

Monitor staff performance and hold them accountable to performance standards in a direct, clear, and professional manner. Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) to monitor the progress of your team. Attend stakeholder meetings as required. Ensure completion of all program-required documentation. Provide practical training to staff to ensure work performed equals work charted. Engage community partners to build collaborative professional relationships. Oversees and/or provides clinical supervision to the clinicians earning hours towards licensure.

What They Do:

  • Oversee and implement the mental health services as proposed.
  • Provide ongoing training, staff development, and supervision of registered associates.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Medic-Cal documentation and other documents requiring the Supervisor’s signature and/or approval.
  • Attend all required meetings with County and Community Partners and engage with community partners to build collaborative professional relationships.
  • Participate in mandatory training and committees and ensure that staff attends mandatory training.
  • Maintain accountability to all Policies and Procedures required documentation and monthly reports.
  • Responsible for the overall implementation, and maintenance of the program’s quality.
  • Provide guidance and coordination towards satisfying standards and requirements for quality improvement and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for the completion of all supervisory reviews for the Mental Health charts.
  • Provide information and complete reports as necessary to county agencies.
  • Track billable hours by all providers and hold providers responsible for meeting minimum Direct Service Hour (DSH) expectations.
  • Consult with clinical staff regarding services provided to ensure clients are receiving all necessary Mental Health services.
  • Public relations are managed in a professional and positive manner with outside agencies.
  • Communication is open and positive between referring agencies.
  • Assure that all clinical staff understand, know, and implement program policies and procedures.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience

1. Master’s Degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, or Doctorate in Psychology.

2. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Ph.D., or PsyD.

3. Experience in and ability to supervise interns/trainees preferred.

4. Minimum of 1 (one) year management experience or supervisory experience over clinicians in the human services field

5. Minimum of 2 years as a direct care service provider to adolescents, young adults, or adults who are experiencing symptoms of serious and persistent mental illness.

6. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

7. Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.

8. Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment
