Reports To:  Facilities Manager, Jonathan Tlapek 

Category: Part Time Staff

Work Schedule:  25 hours, Monday-Friday

Shifts: Monday-Friday, 3:00-8:00p

POSITION SUMMARY

The part time Facilities Technician works with the Facilities Manager to keep spaces, structures and infrastructure in proper operating conditions in a routine, scheduled, or anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation of Soul City Church.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare room set-up and tear-down                                                        25%

as needed for meetings, events, and

Sunday gatherings.

Provide physical labor for various                                                             25%

maintenance functions, including minor

repairs, drywall repair and finish, painting,

wall hangings, and stocking/organizing

materials to maintain a clean and orderly facility.

Maintain a safe and hospitable environment                                          20%

for our guests, members and staff during day or

evening hours. 

Assist with administrative procedures related to                                   10%

building rental and usage.

Interact with contractors as needed for building                                   10%

upkeep 

Manage scheduling for HVAC, lighting, building                                    10%

access, and other facility related systems

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 6 months facility maintenance or related work experience 
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED preferred 
• Some college or technical school training preferred
