We, the PlayStation® Data Platform Group, are looking for an extraordinary and highly motivated Software Engineer that helps us craft and develop core technologies that power our Machine Learning Platform. In this role, we would love to see someone who is passionate and willing to learn and adopt cloud-native development methodologies as well as integrate open-source software into our platform.

  • Design, build and maintain real-time distributed systems.
  • Work with team members to deliver features on time, respond to evolving requirements, and strategic shifts in direction
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and build solutions for them
  • Handle periodic on-call duty as well as out-of-band requests
  • Work with culturally diverse teams across the company.


  • BS/MS in Computer Science or similar field
  • 1+ years of programming experience in Java/C#/Python or equivalent
  • Great understanding of functional programming, data structures and algorithms
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner and ability to independently work on several tasks at once
  • Ability to solve complex problems
Preferred but not required:
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services and Cloud Architecture
  • Understanding of Machine Learning and/or Big Data
First 90 days:

In 30 days, you will develop a basic understanding of the Machine Learning Platform tech stack and infrastructure. You will work closely with the team to get up to speed with team processes. We will focus on making sure you have all the tools to succeed.

In 60 days, you will have a good grasp of different parts of the platform and are able to work on small features and changes to improve it. You will start working with customers and take on trouble-shooting activities.

In 90 days, you will know the Machine Learning Platform and the Product roadmap in better detail and are comfortable tackling large features and delivering them in a timely manner.
