While reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will oversee the activities of production personnel, including Inspector Packers, Machine Operators, and Material Handlers. Responsibilities include training and mentoring employees, directing work, and motivating the team. Will work with a sense of urgency to troubleshoot and correct production problems and minimize downtime.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Follow and enforce all company policies/procedures, including all safety policies/procedures.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills.
  • Ensure shutdown, changeover, PM, and startup checklists are complete and to procedure.
  • Communicate information effectively to other team members.
  • Follow housekeeping policy and Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Responsible for the quality of items produced to meet product specifications.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. 
  • Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Monitor material required to meet production goals.
  • Confer with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. 
  • Oversee the Set-up of machines and equipment.
  • May periodically perform activities of workers supervised.
  • Other duties as requested by Supervisor.

 

This position is in our Plastics plant in beautiful Chillicothe, Missouri. We produce thermoformed plastic trays and cups, utilizing state of the art equipment.

  • Able to participate in meetings outside of regular working times
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts
  • Two years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Plastics experience preferred, not required
  • Strong supervisory leadership
  • To succeed in this role you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, mathematical and reasoning skills.   
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). College or technical training a plus.
