Our Hospitality team members are the face of Sonder and our eyes and ears on the ground throughout the city. This is one of the most versatile roles at the company and is best fit for someone passionate about coordinating and communicating, and taking feedback to improve processes. This role is set in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting responsibilities and challenges. Your main focus it to create a fantastic guest experience by dispatching a team of Hospitality Agents to complete pre-arrival checks, respond to guest issues, and fulfill guest requests. All of this must be done in an effective and efficient manner to ensure guests have a flawless stay. If this describes you, we would love to hear from you!

The primary responsibilities of the Team Lead will be through leadership of the Hospitality Agents, by expertly delegating and coordinating tasks to team members and through leading by example. The Team Lead will manage operational projects, analyze data, and coordinate with laundry and housekeeping vendors and schedule and oversee contractor appointments.

Our Team Lead will also be responsible for his/her ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner, problem-solve issues independently and quickly, implement processes, communicate internally and externally, and analyze trends and data.

TASKS

Follow best practices around preparing, performing and completing tasks

  • Lead Hospitality Agents by coordinating their daily tasks by prioritizing and delegating
  • Effective and efficient communication
  • Manage operational projects from inception to completion
  • Execute on day-to-day hospitality tasks to ensure guests have an amazing experience
  • Gather feedback from guests, vendors, and partners
  • Problem solve quickly and confidently
  • Tech-savvy: this role requires an ability to use Slack, Asana, and Google sheets

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Must have 2 years previous experience leading a team
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in hospitality
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar work experience preferred but not essential
  • A self-starter effective at working in both a team environment and independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Schedule flexibility a plus
  • Comfortable working in a start-up environment
