SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER:
Full-Time, Permanent.
The Somerset Area School District is seeking a full-time, permanent special education teacher for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Experienced and new candidates are welcomed to apply. Must possess (or be in the process of obtaining) an active Pennsylvania certification, preferably covering grades 7 12. Candidates must be engaging, technology-literate, and willing to collaborate with colleagues. Great planning, instructional, and assessment skills required.
All clearances, clean physical/drug screening, and proof of good citizenship are required prior to hire.

One-year, grant-funded positions
Multiple Vacancies. The Somerset Area School District is seeking a multiple one-year, ESSER grant-funded special education positions for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Must possess (or be in the process of obtaining) an active Pennsylvania certification, preferably covering any grade span. Candidates must be engaging, technology-literate, and willing to collaborate with colleagues. Great planning, instructional, and assessment skills required. This is a great position for a teacher wanting to gain resume experience.

All clearances, clean physical/drug screening, and proof of good citizenship are required prior to hire.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS:
Multiple positions available. 5.5 hours/day. 180 days/year - school year only. Starting rate is $12.00/hour. Positions available for the start of the 2023 2024 school year. Candidates must exhibit compassion for children, patience, and a desire to help others. Must be willing to assist with classroom, playground, and lunch duties. Very pleasant work environment and extremely meaningful work. Great job for a parent/guardian looking to jump back into the workforce after taking off to have children or someone looking to work part time during the daytime only, with no weekends, evenings, holidays, or summers.
