School Psychologist

The Somerset Area School District is seeking a full-time (~214 day/year - negotiable) Pennsylvania Certified School Psychologist starting on or around June 15, 2023. New and experienced applicants are welcomed to apply.

Primary responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments for the purpose of identifying students in need of special education services under Acts 14, 15, and 16 of the Pennsylvania School Code.

Must be skilled in working collaboratively with members of the special and regular education team to improve student academic achievement by conducting psychological and academic assessments that inform interventions which improve student outcomes and educational experience. Currently using the MTSS model of identification at the PK - 2 level. Excellent work environment serving one school district.

The District does contract out for evaluations during periods of tight deadlines to promote work-life balance for this position.

Private office in central office suite within special education administrative space. Excellent benefit package and competitive compensation (salary range $70,000 - $90,000 annually, based on various criteria, including days worked per year) with an excellent benefit package.
