As a DevOps Test Engineer you will be responsible for the planning and execution of Sprint-level automated testing activities in support of an applied ground R&D group. The team is deploying an advanced software solution in support of future ground architecture capabilities. You will be attending and conducting Sprint preplanning activities with almost a dozen other companies supporting a government office Sprint cadence. You will be conducting regression testing each Sprint to ensure software changes are adequately tested prior to deployment. You will be working in a cloud environment to develop and maintain the testing program leading a contingent of almost a dozen other development organizations. This role requires expertise in Jenkins, Cucumber, and Selenium which capture test results in Test Rail. In addition, you must have a strong understanding of Agile development and Atlassian tool Suite.
Participation in Sprint preplanning activities to discover changes to existing instrumented test cases, as well as new automated test cases.
Development of new automated test cases involving Selenium WD, Cucumber, and Jenkins capturing results in Test Rail.
Execute automated testing on a weekly cadence and distribute results to the enterprise team.Communicate with a team of a dozen companies providing an integrated software solution. Identify discrepancies, communicate these to the development team and author/track discrepancy reports in Jira.
Support development of artifacts in Confluence as needed to communicate test program changes.
Provide technical consultation, briefings and recommendations to the customer and other stakeholders, as needed
ACTIVE TS/SCI w/CI Poly REQUIRED
- BS Stem degree with 8-10 years of demonstrated experience.
- Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) experience within overall customer domain.
- Strong business acumen; ability to relate professionally inside the work environment.
- Knowledge of GEOINT, SIGINT and Multi-INT systems.
- Experience writing test strategies, plans, procedures and checklists.
- Experience executing tests, analyzing data and summarizing results.
- Experience in end-to-end system integration and transition approaches.
- Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
Technical familiarity with one or more satellite domains: GEOINT, SIGINT or COMM.
Experience with VV&T from an acquisition, operations or systems engineering perspective.
Experience with Satellite and Ground Systems VV&T activities.
Experience with GEOINT, SIGINT, Space Ground Communications (Ground Terminals), ground systems and services, and/or mission operations.
Experience with commercial VV&T techniques in service-oriented architecture (SOA) environments, or for infrastructure or application service provider environments, is also highly desirable.
Ability to mentor and lead Junior individuals
