JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are searching for a Platform Automation Engineer. This role can be remote.

• You will be involved in implementing innovative technologies to engineer Platform services, container orchestration technologies as well as CI/CD automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Automate, write code, and build pipelines, working hand in hand with Software Engineering teams on automating deployments and integrations to PaaS services.
  

• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Senior MMC Leadership, Project Managers, and Software and Engineering teams, to navigate the constantly changing technology landscape and identify appropriate tactical and strategic solutions to deliver self-service, automated cloud, and container-based application environments.
  

• Deploy and support Kubernetes and related technology stacks.
  

• Engineer and implement new technology solutions, on-premise and in a public cloud.
  

• Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of cloud-native technology to ensure all appropriate options are considered to support business initiatives.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Subject matter expert for Kubernetes as well as one or more of the following technologies: Portworx, JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Rancher, Tigera Calico Enterprise.
  

• Additional Skills; Apigee, Terraform, Pulumi, JavaScript, Node.js, AngularJS, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Python, Go, API development, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Linux, Bash, Windows, .NET core, Apigee Hybrid, Anthos, Datadog, Dremio.
  

• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI public cloud; development and architecture.
  

• Experience with REST APIs to support the integration of infrastructure, cloud, and platform as a service technology.
  

• Knowledge of web, security, and networking protocols, private cloud, or on-premise solution architecture experience.
  

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with web-based applications, web services-based applications, and data platforms/services. API Management platforms.
  

• Proven ability to deliver customer-focused shared service platforms.
