Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious health insurance company, in their search for a Medical Payment Associate Accounts Receivable III. This is a 4-month contract opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The Medical Payment Associate Accounts Receivable II is responsible for the daily management of accounts receivables for all product lines. This position reconciles cash received from the bank daily, ensures timely and accurate posting to the member accounts. This position ensures all not sufficient funds (NSF) adjustments, debit, and credit memo adjustments, and refunds are reflected timely and accurately on the members account. This position will directly contact members and assist in resolving billing and payment issues.


  • 6+ months in a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) setting in an accounting department.

  • High School Graduate with some college (Accounting or Business Administration major) or compatible work experience.

  • Solid understanding of accounting terminology.

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency working with databases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • "Bilingual in Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese ".

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency working with databases.

  • Good communication skills.


  • The Medical Payment Associate Accounts Receivable II must update and maintain multiple synchronized databases in an accurate and timely manner.

  • The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting background, good analytical and problem-solving skills, intermediate computer skills, strong customer service, and communication skills.

  • Responsible for the month-end processing of the accounts receivable databases for all product lines through posting of General ledger in the month-end process.

  • Responsible for the preparation of all Financial activity month-end reports relating to multiple product lines.

  • Responsible for daily and monthly reconciliation and analysis.

  • Cash receipts and resolution of all errors are posted within 3-5 workdays.

  • All cash databases and schedules are maintained for all product lines.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the Prepaid databases.

  • Errors are corrected in time and accurately.

  • All discounts are posted and reflected accurately and timely.

  • Responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of the member level summary and group billings. Responsible for the monthly adjustments are posted accurately and timely. Reports abnormalities immediately.

  • Responsible for ensuring all refunds are documented and processed within 60 days.

  • Member issues resolved to members satisfaction within 24 hours after notification and documented in Call center log.

  • Responsible for updating documentation in the procedure manual.

  • All process and procedure changes are documented accurately and timely.

  • Performs special projects accurately and in a timely matter.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
