Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Manager, Production Accounting for its E&P client in Houston, Texas.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of oil and gas Production accounting supporting Production operations. This candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the production accounting department, including regulatory, and will interact regularly with Revenue accounting, Marketing, and Operations. This person will oversee all allocations, run ticket reconciliations, and production reporting and ensure that all requests are responded to promptly and fully complied-with by the company.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day responsibilities and processing of all oil and gas production
Manage complex production allocation networks
Manage and ensure timely filing of operations and regulatory filings in Texas and Louisiana
Manage volume upload/ entry of over 1,000 operated WI properties
Oversee daily and monthly integration from ProCount/Merrick to EU/Oracle
Proactively monitor variance reports to identify and resolve any volumetric discrepancies
Validate and reconcile oil invoices/statements to daily/monthly trucking tickets
Validate and reconcile off load systems with sales tickets
Validate production accounting data inputs, including trucked product reconciliations
Update production accounting master file in compliance with regulatory standards, measurement plan approvals and operating conditions
Manage the field-use vehicle lease program
Other projects as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
10+ years’ experience in accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
System savvy and ability to work with different applications and databases
Knowledge of P2 Merrick, preferred
Highly proficient in advanced MS Excel including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
Excellent people management skills and practiced motivational behaviors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently, yet cooperatively and constructively, in a team environment
Must be able to proactively identify financial issues and lead the team to drive towards solutions
BASE SALARY OF $125K - $145K PLUS BONUS AND BENEFITS; NO RELOCATION OR SPONSORSHIP
