SOLAR SALES REP. - HOT ONLINE LEADS
Solcius sells solar panels to residential customers in an in-home environment. A customer requests an appointment from an online advertisement. A sales rep is expected to sit down with that customer and overcome objections and sell them solar panels. This is a scenario where a customer is typically eliminating their electric bill but gaining a solar bill that is about $5-$10 less than what they are paying on their utility bill. Additionally, this locks in their rate and they own the system and don’t have to pay the utility for electricity anymore. In most cases, utility companies give the customer a large cash check just for signing up!
Our sales reps are required to work a minimum of 2 weeks in a row each month, which is non-negotiable. A rep can work more than that if they desire to do so.
The schedule is Monday-Saturday with Sunday off. They will typically have about 15-20 appointments per week. Ten of those customers typically cancel. Of the 10 customers that a rep sits with, our average reps close 5 of those deals. Two of those customers will cancel because of buyers remorse which leaves our rep with about 3 solid deals each week they work. Each deal ranges between $900-$2000 with an average of about $1200 per deal depending on the size of the system. The rep averages about $3,000 per week worked.
We have two types of positions
Local reps are for the Minnesota and Wisconsin states.
Travel reps are for all other states. Each travel rep's airfare to/from the destination and lodging is taken care of by the company.
A rep's vehicle rental is taken care of by the rep but the company reimburses the rep $500 for two weeks of their rental. Gas is not reimbursed, however, there is a per diem allotted in the amount of $15 per day for every day that a rep is on the route.
This position is 1099 and commission only.
Solcius is looking for individuals that are highly confident and will not take no for an answer. This is a one call close so visiting the customers home twice is not allowed. Therefore a great candidate will be able to think quickly on their feet to figure out how Solar is a solution for this customer or why this customer should sign up even though their spouse is not present. Sales experience is not required as much as the characteristics that they should embody. Solcius prides themselves in their ability to train already motivated individuals to excel in this program."
