Regional Sales Manager of Software Sales

About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for Software Sales. Our client provides user-friendly out of the box Environmental Compliance Management Software Solutions.

Responsibilities

As a Software Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of software sales professionals to achieve revenue targets within your designated geographic region. You will develop and implement sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance the team's effectiveness.

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the region, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential threats to adjust strategies accordingly.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects within the region.
  • Understand customer needs and work with the sales team to tailor software solutions accordingly.

Revenue Growth:

  • Perform Sales task as necessary, including conferences, and day-to-day territory sales.
  • Complete and process Request for Proposals for key deals and clients.
  • Monitor sales performance and pipeline to ensure consistent revenue growth.
  • Forecast and report on regional sales performance to senior management.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed about the software industry, competitors, and market conditions within the region.
  • Use market insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from the field to assist in product development and enhancement.

Budget Management:

  • Manage and allocate budget resources effectively to support sales activities and initiatives within the region.

Requirement and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Must have experience with water wastewater utilities, Engineering.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in software sales, with 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of the software industry and market dynamics within the region.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • · Competitive base salary range of 70K-150K + uncapped bonus
  • · Full Benefits package
