Business Systems Analysts study the overall business and information needs of an organization, in order to develop solutions to business and related technology problems.A business Systems Analyst's role is usually undertaken prior to the system design, building and programming stages of the systems development process. Works closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Construct IT definitions based on identified needs of the organization. Work with other IT experts to address networking and hardware needs. Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. Negotiate options with the client. Office Location (if remote, please provide the KP Site address): Fully Remote to Hybrid one day a week onsite.
Any Travel for this role?: 2-3 locations within Northern California 1-2 times a month.

How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate? 10+ years working in IT and at least 3-5 years in a healthcare setting. This is not a learning position. Temp to perm available for the right person.
Specific Systems Knowledge Required: That candidate has implemented at a minimum, one large scale medical system.
Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred: Clinical trial systems and integration between medical systems.
Expected Shift: Day 8-5 PST

Interview Process: 1st meet with HM, 2nd Technical Team and lastly stakeholders.

5+ years as a business analyst implementing applications
4+ years experience working with healthcare applications
10+ years in IT working with at least 2 or 3 years of integration solutions
Working-level knowledge of Enterprise computing servers, storage systems, networking hardware, or system software on-premise and cloud
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills to work well with all levels within the organization
Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and able to work independently
Effective project or program management skills to plan, monitor, and execute various initiatives
Excellent verbal communication and technical writing

Act as the first point of contact for all user requests and issues received by the team and triage them accordingly.
Collect, review, analyze, prioritize, and manage system and user requirements from key stakeholders. Seek opportunities to drive efficiencies within the team including optimizing internal procedures, workflows, and/or streamlining communication/hands-off between team members.
Obtain functional design specification approvals. Work with the business and technical teams to clarify functional requirements. Conduct user interviews/meetings to understand the pain points of the user and co-develop solutions. Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development, and deployment of multi-team enhancements or projects.
Coordinate with other IT project teams within the organization to design and support interfaces with upstream/downstream source systems. Work with different stakeholders, KP IT and business partners to integrate solutions and automate workflows. Assist with integration road map.
Define training needs for new and existing functionality. Create user guides, release notes and training documentation as appropriate. Conduct training sessions, including virtual sessions for offices located across the world.
Manage the UAT process by performing smoke testing, test case validation, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments. Demonstrate functionality and coordinate UAT sessions with subject matter experts when appropriate.
Maintain documentation for all supported applications, including backfilling missing information.
Ensure security assessments are completed.
Operate with trust, integrity, and compassion for others.
Write project status reports, Communicate ideas and workflows to business partners. Communicate/ present new features to study teams.
