Location: We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive - Business Development for Sodexo Live!.
This position is bonus eligible.
Sodexo Live! NorAm is seeking high caliber sales executives who embody leadership skills to aid in moving our business forward. Sodexo Live! is the Sports & Leisure Division for Sodexo, Inc. in North America. Sodexo is ranked as a top provider in the North American market, progressively growing in the US and Canada. Sodexo Live! in North America represents ~$1B Gross Revenue (2019), providing food and beverage services in Convention and Conference Centers; Professional and University Sports; Cultural Attractions; and Entertainment Venues. This is an event driven business, creating revenues, profits and memorable experiences for our clients and their/our guests; we "Make it better to be there." Sodexo Live! NorAm is supported as part of the Global Sodexo Live! business generating $2.1B€ in Gross Revenue and operating on 3 continents.

About the Role:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing business unit strategies and action plans to drive business growth through various means that add strength and increase positioning of the Sodexo / Centerplate portfolio. Further, a successful candidate establishes a compelling vision and value proposition to existing and future clients while creating business opportunities based on the strength of the NorAm and Global enterprise; aligned to the growth strategy developed by executive leadership. One is expected to develop relationships, evaluate opportunities, lead development processes, manage internal / external communication, effectively negotiate and close sales, paper and agree to contracts, and create a successful transition to operations.
Business growth is accomplished through, new business development, retention, and up/cross-selling and all channels will be leveraged to meet annual targets; with a heavy emphasis on new business. Positioned as the face of the business, key responsibilities include developing and executing on Sodexo's reputation; identifying and retaining strategic partners; coordinating and overseeing the bid response and delivery (proposal development and deal terms); and leading/developing a high performing team of developers / partners. Consultative development process requires proficiency in subject matters, engaging and fostering discussions from introduction to contract execution, often measured in months and years.
- Budget / Plan / Targets - New Business $'s, Win Rates, Conversion Ratio's
- Business Stakeholders' Satisfaction - Internal experts are necessary for success; leadership and collaboration is paramount (project leadership)
- P&L - Understanding of key financial metrics and deal structuring
- Leadership / Talent Development - Development process, not transaction-based selling, hands-on leadership
- Minimum 10+ years consultative sales experience,
- Expertise in closing complex multi-million-dollar contracts,
- Ability to demonstrate proven success negotiating contracts on a national and global scale,
- Proven success developing, leading and expanding high performing teams,
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile, matrix-ed environment
This is a virtual leadership role. Candidates should be based in any US city with proximity to a major airport. Travel is required for success in this role up to 70%.
