Social Pet Hotel & Daycare in Pineville and Charlotte, NC is looking to hire a full-time Enrichment / Animal Care Specialist to provide exercise and enrichment to the dogs in our care. This pet care position earns a competitive wage starting at $12 - $14/hr, depending on experience, plus tips and bonuses. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENRICHMENT / ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST

As an Enrichment / Animal Care Specialist, you have the vital task of keeping the dogs in our care happy and healthy. Each day, you come ready to provide enrichment and exercise to pups of all sizes. Working with your teammates, you help assess and identify the pups who may be a good fit for our enrichment program. You then engage those dogs in agility courses, nose work, puzzles, and more. Thanks to your training, you are adept at handling their boundless energy and at detecting arousal that might lead to aggression. Skillfully, you head off potential conflict, keeping the pups safe and thoroughly engaged.

Interacting with our proud pet parents is another of your enjoyable tasks. You respond to questions about their pet's behavior and keep them up to date on the things their pooch has learned that day. Keeping accurate records is a priority for you because it ensures follow-up when the dogs return. In addition, you keep our yard, equipment, and common areas clean so that they can be enjoyed by everyone. A team player, you collaborate on monthly daycare parties and create new enrichment activities for our program. At the end of your active day, you are tired and happy. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENRICHMENT / ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST

• 18 years old or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete Fetch Find comprehensive skills training upon hire
• Ability to perform the physical functions of the job, including handling dogs of all sizes, standing for long periods of time, and lifting up to 50 pounds

WORK SCHEDULE FOR AN ENRICHMENT / ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST

The pet care position works 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. We are open 7 days a week, so weekend and holiday work is needed.
