Job Description

Under the direction of Local Program Supervisor
Manage daily operations for all local programming including but not limited to parks and recreation programs, school programs, multi week programs, and special groups. Oversee support team (lunch, rentals, supervision, administration, terrain management). Coach and oversee staff, help manage and monitor staffing levels for future needs.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1. Assist in coordination and scheduling for all local programming; including maintaining relationships with coordinators of each program and providing service for each group.
2. Help manage staffing levels daily based on business needs..Make necessary changes to accommodate business levels and staff needs.
3. Help supervise ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory of supplies
4. Help supervise learning terrain (grooming, sculpting) including Miner's Camp learning terrain features
5. Contribute to staff training . Provide performance evaluations to assigned staff members once per season.
6. Help to schedule and manage support staff (non-instructor staff) for all programs.
7. Other duties as assigned.
8. Travel: Occasional travel to/from resort.

3. Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Associates degree in related field. Additional related work experience may be substituted for education.
- 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to ski or snowboard and have the ability to pass a physical capacity exam.
- PSIA Certification

Skills & Knowledge

This manager must posses the ability to comprehend and make judgments and assumptions about operational efficiency and opportunities for growth. This includes the ability to predict trends and build schedules for instructors based on the above.Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret PSIA/AASI technical journals. Must understand and work well with young children and parents.

Must be able to communicate through written reports and memos. Knowledge of computers including windows, word processing, excel spreadsheets is essential. Will need to master use of various software as it applies to sales, scheduling, and payroll.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:

- Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.


- May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
