This is a full-time position that works 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday. The pay is $13 -15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications with incentive pay. The position is onsite at our center located: 824 Paul St, Orlando, FL 32808
The Pre-K Teacher coordinates engaging developmental activities, implements curriculum that prepares children for school, and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Pre - K Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.
What You’ll Do:
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
• Follow all facility policies and state regulations
• Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
What We Need from You:
• Associates degree in related field of study required
• Minimum of 30 credits in ECE
• DCF 45 hours Required
• CDA Preferred
• Willingness to obtain VPK Teacher credentials from DCF
• Must clear a full DCF background check
• At least 1 year of professional early childhood training/experience
• CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment
• Fluent in both English and Spanish is a Plus
