This role is an excellent opportunity to join our AEC focused Sales team to support the Smartapp.com™ suite of industry-leading software and hardware products.


As a Sales Account Executive, you will directly contribute to our sales growth and revenue goals, while growing our list of customers and projects throughout North America.  You will learn how to align our technology within the construction space and acts as a brand ambassador, often being the first line of communication with new prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to sales leadership, working closely with Marketing
  • Develop and execute selling strategies to achieve revenue goals in your assigned territory, accounts and industries
  • Direct sales activity ranging from prospecting, creating new opportunities, validation, negotiation and closing deals
  • Drive sales to new customers and expand on existing relationships with upselling / add-on SKUs (SW/HW)
  • Maintain accountability for all KPIs and activity associated with your sales expectations
  • Execute a high volume of inbound follow up and outbound prospecting calls, emails and associated outreach
  • Perform thorough discovery to learn about the businesses of each prospect and customer while conducting qualification, meetings, events, demos
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends and new industry and technology developments
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows and promptly follow up on leads from various sources
  • Consistently maintain sales opportunity and customer status information in our (CRM) system.
  • Provide accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts, reports and updates
  • Interface with other functional groups, project teams and internal stakeholders to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers toward the goal of jointly achieving assigned quotas


Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred experience selling SaaS products in the AEC Industry, construction industry etc
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience or 5+ years of experience in complex technical sales
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, technical environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, comfortable presenting to large groups
  • Multi-tasking, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and able to see the “big picture” - because our entire team must meet our goals
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% or as needed to achieve objectives
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and associated business and management principles
  • Experience with using a CRM, some knowledge of Google products ( sheets, docs, google calendar)
