The Job

We are looking for a qualified Staff Software Engineer, Analytics to join our team!
As a Staff Software Engineer, Analytics, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to develop analytical solutions that provide insights and drive decision-making across the organization. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, scalability, and performance of these solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data analytics software solutions that support business needs and provide valuable insights. (primary responsibility)
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements.
• Develop and maintain data models, ELT data pipelines, and data processing workflows that ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Optimize query performance and data processing workflows to ensure high scalability and availability while balancing cloud costs.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other team activities to ensure the quality and maintainability of the software solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the analytics field and provide recommendations for new tools and processes that can improve our data analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience in developing data analytics software solutions or data models and ELT data pipelines
• Experience with distributed data process environments like BigQuery, Hadoop, Snowflake
• Experience with event or message based data flows using queuing technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon MQ, or Google Pub/Sub
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration and
• Experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Javascript, or other relevant languages
• Proficiency with relational databases
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
