Job Description

Summary:

An Inside Sales representative’s job entails selling or introducing new products or services to new and established clients. The customers communicate with an Inside Sales representative to request information on purchase orders, quotations, expedites and lead times by fax, telephone, or email. Most inside salesperson’s job is to build quotations on standard products, submit and enter orders and communicate pertinent information on them to customers. The primary duty involves tracking and following up on the status of an opportunity or purchase order. An Inside Sales representative handles the “project” execution actions and overall coordination between the Marketing department, the Customer Service department and Outside Sales organization.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Developing and maintaining a sales generation plan to meet or exceed monthly or annual targets

·       Provide critical forecasting, analysis and sales support by communicating with the overseas subsidiaries and HQ personnel to ensure accurate supply and timely support

·       Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes

·       Identifying decision makers amongst the customer base in order to start sales process

·       Cooperating with Account managers and Sales Supervisors to determine essential strategic approaches to increase sales and reach the established goals

·       Maintaining and expanding the database of sales information pertinent to the customers and the organization

·       Outbound and inbound account management

·       Supporting the assigned customers throughout the sales interval and manage open orders, backlog in conjunction with the outside sales manager and marketing teams

·       Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on market situation

·       Handling cancellations, expedites or any other changes in sales orders and communicating the changes with the related departments

·       Coordinating with the accounting department members to minimize outstanding invoices

·       Coordinating with all related departments for status on orders including the overseas subsidiaries and related production and planning departments in ensuring the delivery commitment to clients is met

·       Maintaining demand planning indicators and performance metrics

·       Collating and consolidating reports on monthly sales performance per sales personnel, per product, per region or office, and per industry

·       Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales order reports or forms

·       Creating and delivering qualified opportunities to Account Managers where allowed

·       Capturing of accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

·       Attending industry conferences to develop industry expertise and to build network

·       Draw conclusions from multiple data sources with critical thinking and problem solving

·       Attend and sometimes facilitate weekly conference calls with overseas departments to analyze, solve and improve support and logistics situations

Requirements:

·       Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment

·       Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·       Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

·       Excellent telephone sales personality skills

·       Should be expert in CRM software solutions

·       Prominent organization and presentation skills

·       Excellent time management skills

·       Highly energetic and self-starter

·       Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills

·       Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities

·       Should be honest, assertive, and systematic

·       BA in Marketing or Business-related field, Engineering degree

·       Relevant training in Inside sale
