Staff Accountant

Sletten Construction is looking for a Staff Accountant to support the entire organization. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and CFO and will assist in daily accounting duties as outlined by the Controller. This position will become a resource for employees when the Controller is not available. This individual will have exposure to many different areas of construction accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Initial setup of each job in each division with the proper job numbers, administrative access, phase codes, and GL codes

+ Weekly job cost recording Labor cost reports and user training

+ Vista/Team security set up and maintenance

+ Assist with audits, including:

+ Corporate, Retirement, and Union audits

+ Assist with renewals on State (multiple) licensing and registrations

+ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation processes, including:

+ Accounts receivable

+ Assist with GL account reconciliation

+ Serve as a backup for Credit Card administration and management

+ Participate in vendor accounts receivable process

+ Assist with accounting and administration of Company provided retirement plans

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable degree

+ 3+ years of work experience in the accounting field (preferably construction)

+ Experience with licensing and registrations

+ Experience with Microsoft office products

+ Vista experience is preferred but not required

+ Superior communication and interpersonal skills

+ Developed office management and organizational skills

+ Excellent time management skills

+ This position reports to the CFO and Controller

+ Office location is in Great Falls, MT

+ Office environment requires sitting and standing
