Skyline is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, analytical and progressive thinker to work in our Funding department as an Account Processing Specialist. The Funding Department team handles all new customer accounts ensuring they meet contractual, processing and other account guidelines. The right candidate will be responsible for customer accounts with special processing issues as well as ensuring all information on accounts and agreement(s) is filled out correctly to allow them to fund with our third-party vendor(s). This person will strive to build a helpful culture supporting customer needs on their accounts and supporting organizational objectives/brand. Our brand promise delivers on four core principles:

This role is responsible for submitting all applicable information to our third-party vendor(s) and ensuring each account is purchased. The Specialist strives to fix any and all issues that prevent an account from being purchased. Critical factors for this role include: resourcefulness, thinking analytically, efficiently managing data, communicating professionally, and an ability to think outside the box with an effort to foster a best-in-class culture for both the teams and ultimate end-user.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Reconcile and address accounts with first month returned payments in a systematic fashion as directed and set up by management

  • Process new customer accounts assigned daily in a systematic fashion as prescribed by and directed by policy and management

  • Address corrections or issues needed with the appropriate party(ies) within not less than 24 hours of the account being assigned

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge on processes and procedures to fund accounts correctly. The specialist cannot get away with just knowing the “How” of the job but they must know the “Why” behind all of the procedures within the department

  • Provide consistent, professional follow up on unresolved accounts to ensure every effort has been made to resolve account issues and concerns

  • Must learn the basic and advanced processes of other departments within the company to have better picture of how everything comes together

  • Train others (sales representatives, technicians and operations teams) in a professional manner on requirements from our investing company including regulations, necessary documentation, and any additional customer information necessary for those situations.

  • Work account declines from our purchasing partner to ensure that accounts are funded in a timely manner and that everyone is informed of the current situations and solution options

  • Employee must be reliable and overly communicative in all situations

  • Any and all other tasks as dictated by management.

 

Ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a similar (banking, title company, or other financial institution) within the alarm/home automation industry or related role

  • Possess strong analytical skills to validate data, determine reasonability, ensure accuracy, and research exceptions

  • Great attention to detail and accuracy

  • Familiarity in the use of MS Excel ideal

  • Must demonstrate track record of being extremely dependable

  • High energy, great organization skills and uncompromised integrity

  • Proven ability to close performance gaps and improve processes or methods

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Steadfast willingness and drive to take ownership and “find a way”

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Must exemplify superior organization skills to ensure all of their accounts are worked on properly.

  • Must be extremely detail oriented and be able to follow a systemic process as dictated by management while truly “owning” the role

  • Strong analytical ability required to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management and customers, strong and demonstrated effective verbal, written and listening skills and professional telephone skills and manners.

  • Must be able to work as a member of a team.
