Job Description

 

1.                       Coordinate with freight brokers and forwarders to oversee and manage international import & export shipments via sea & air.

2.                       Manage over-the-road shipments to various local, non-local and out-of-State project sites to meet critical deadlines.

3.                       Create shipping documents for all incoming & outgoing freight.

4.                       Work with overseas manufacturers to coordinate all incoming shipments.

5.                       Receive, unload and document incoming overseas shipping containers at L.A. warehouse.

6.                       Receive and document all less-than-truckload shipments.

7.                       Receive and document all incoming small parcel shipments.

8.                       Manage all outgoing FedEx, UPS and DHL shipments.

9.                       Pull items as needed for various projects.

10.                  Handle all incoming and outgoing overseas and national RMA shipments.

11.                  Log and pack sensitive electronics and other equipment into cartons and then palletize, wrap, label, and prepare documents for all outgoing deliveries.

12.                  Transfer product between warehouse and main office via forklift when needed.

13.                  Bring down and put-up inventory via forklift from warehouse racks.

14.                  Work with and assist studio managers during studio production shoots.

15.                  Keep and file shipment documents & records.

16.                  Manage good relationships with existing freight companies and open new accounts while seeking lower costs and better efficiencies.

17.                  Work closely with upper management and coordinate miscellaneous projects specifics.

18.                  Work with accounts payable to answer invoicing questions.

19.                  Inventory control.

20.                  File damage & loss claims when needed.
