Sims Metal Management is the world's leading metal recycling company; turning unwanted post-consumer items and industrial scrap into raw materials for manufacturing operations around the world. We are currently looking for a non-ferrous buyer to join our facility in Providence, RI.

Job Summary

Weigh, measure, and check materials, supplies and equipment for the purpose of keeping relevant records. Duties are primarily clerical by nature.

Major Job Responsibilities/ Duties

-Purchase customers material

-Upgrading Material

-Placing material in the proper place

-Customer Service

-Make sure work area is neat and tidy.

Job Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of scrap experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of different materials, basic math, computer skills, communication skills, and customer service.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
