Cloud DevOps Engineer

Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to add to our team.

Quick overview:

• This position is located in Washington, DC
• US Citizenship is required to obtain required clearance 
• A Bachelor’s degree is required
• Five (5) years of position related experience is required
• The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in designing and implementing fully automated enterprise pipelines using a suite of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and Nexus

The role:
In this role, we’re looking for a  problem-solver with solid experience in scripting and maintaining build environments. The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of AWS and/or Azure and  has experience working with development teams to deploy and support cloud-based applications. To succeed in this role, one must be willing to serve as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.

The Cloud DevOps Engineer at STS will:

• Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
• Configure and manage Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website
• Use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems 
• Debug cluster-based computing architectures
• Design and implement fully automated enterprise pipelines using a suite of DevSecOps tools: 
  • Jenkins, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, OpenShift, Docker, OpenShift, Ansible, Chef, Github, Nexus, Hashicorp Vault, Graylog
• Perform the Operations Support and Maintenance on applications of various sizes and complexity

Education and Experience:
Required

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum five (5) years of position related experience
• Experience using Jenkins, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, OpenShift, Docker, OpenShift, Ansible, Chef, Github, Nexus, Hashicorp Vault, Graylog
• Hands-on experience with Python 
• Familiarity with Linux

Certifications Preferred

• AWS, Azure, Chef, and Jenkins Certifications
