Position Description:

Simon/Myers, a rapidly growing brand strategy and creative agency, is expanding its digital practice and is searching for the right candidate to help manage projects that span from editorial content calendars to multi-channel advertising campaigns. This role will be a dual report into both our digital and client services teams, providing a uniquely collaborative opportunity for the right person to grow their career as both a digital expert and collaborative client partner.

Ideally, you will have at least three years of experience in advertising or marketing communications. This position requires the ability to maintain the forward-thinking vision required for executing a project – including strategic thinking and leadership from beginning to end – and a talent for overseeing all the small details that add up to creating best-in-class work that meets and exceeds our standard.

This position will start with a 60-day freelance contract, with an opportunity for the right person to become full-time based on performance and overall dedication to the role. Currently, it is also a remote position; while being located in the Chicagoland area makes it easier for us to collaborate face-to-face (in a post-pandemic world), it is not a requirement.

You will:

  • Develop and track project schedules and budgets, and monitor these in an ongoing fashion

  • Communicate project status to the right stakeholders, both internal and external

  • Collaborate with business units during the scoping process to deliver accurate estimates

  • Contribute to weekly project status meetings and report on project status

  • Work with project owners to clearly define roles and responsibilities, regularly following up with team members to proactively avoid delays, wherever possible

  • Contribute to the creation of new processes and ways of working for internal teams, to support a more efficient workflow on digital asks

  • Help the agency identify and secure the right tools and platforms to manage our work, if and when needed

You have:

  • Experience managing timelines and budgets for multiple digital projects across channels like social media and email for content creation, or Google Analytics or Keyword Planner for research and reporting deliverables

  • Familiarity with social media platform specifications and guidelines, as well as a general understanding of the “laws of the land” in digital as it pertains to proper data usage and handling, capabilities, and platform limitations

  • The ability to calmly navigate conversations about budget and timing with clients

  • A strong commitment to team success and building successful relationships with peers, partners, and clients

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Curiosity and a desire to learn and implement new things

Agency experience is strongly preferred. Experience with website build-outs is also a plus, but something you’ll have the chance to learn on the job if it’s not currently in your wheelhouse.
