ShutterBooth is looking for a Creative Technologist to guide the technical approach during program ideation and execution. Our Creative Technologist plays a central role in the conception, creation, testing and the activation of all of our work. You will help determine appropriate solutions, software, frame problems, identify opportunities, participate in ideation and program events.
The Creative Technologist combines a passion for creating new and exciting photo and video experiences with the love of working and supporting team members in the field with the technical aspects of the activation. Our team is central to every photo activation we undertake, from initial concept, prototyping, collaborating internally and with clients, to boots-on-the-ground testing and support during some of the most exciting events.
A love for using technology and photography to create unforgettable experiences is a must.
We are always innovating and looking for new ideas and solutions. Our external clients are marketing and advertising agencies always looking for new ways to capture photo and video experiences. The Creative Technologist will keep his/her pulse on the industry and will experiment with the software as well as create custom solutions to stay fresh and innovative.

About the Company:
ShutterBooth specializes in event activations and photo marketing for both social and private events. We have offices throughout the country that are locally owned and operated. ShutterBooth was established in 2006 and has continued to develop and adopt cutting-edge experiences to offer our clients including FX video effects, Mosaic Walls, 360 Booths, Green Screen, Boomerangs, GIFs, slow motion, and more!
Master existing proprietary software and contribute to the development of new software updates and products.
Provide ongoing technical support for offices in the field through the support management system and support users in technical issues, troubleshoot issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
Maintain daily communication with sales team and event team
Assist with tracking and shipping equipment
Assist with activations remotely
Work at a portion of the events you manage
Configure and program event equipment
Assist with equipment logistics
Organize key online and paper based resources to help others quickly find the information they need
Live and breathe innovation by working with internal and external partners to bring the ideas to life
Present ideas and creative work
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Helping prepare for monthly national calls
Assisting with preparation for annual national conference
Preparing new booth equipment
Updating the website with samples and footage captured at events
Brainstorming creative pitch ideas for clients
Assisting with sales proposals
Developing trust and rapport with all ShutterBooth Offices and Brand Ambassadors
Working in a collaborative environment to grow and build relationships and promote teamwork
Identifying opportunities for improvement in all areas of our business, business model and processes
Generating new ideas to improve sales, marketing and create new experiences and solutions from our vast product set
Stay up-to-date on the latest digital trends
Bring a fun, creative positive energy to work every day
Assume ultimate responsibility for final quality and accuracy of the end product
Up to 20% of travel required as needed and any other tasks as assigned

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar
Proficient with computer hardware systems

Be available for emergency technical support questions after normal business hours during events
Preferred but not required:
Past photo booth experience
Familiarity with FFMPEG
Familiarity with ImageMagick
Experience with HTML, CSS
DNS settings (A records, CNAME records, etc.)

Salary and Hours:
40 hours weekly
Additional compensation available for working events
Additional bonus compensation based on overall Company performance
