The Customer Support Specialists primary role is to support Account Specialists in responding to internal and external requests in an accurate, timely and responsive manner.
Position will be approximately 60% in the office and 40% remote after training period, depending on department needs.
Schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Key Accountabilities:
- Account Specialist Support: Contribute to great customer relationships by providing industry-leading customer support
- Assist in proactively managing correspondence with the customer or salesperson, including:
- order entry
- quote entry/follow up
- sample request/follow up
- proactive inventory management (PIM) support
- Provide timely responses to customer or salesperson inquiries including e-mail, phone and web
- Ensure minimal effort is needed by customer or salesperson through thorough and accountable issue resolution
- Coordinate with other departments where necessary to resolve inquiries
- Assist in proactively managing correspondence with the customer or salesperson, including:
- Key Account Support: Act as the main point of contact and provide industry-leading customer support to key accounts
- Manage interactions with the customer directly building rapport and strengthen relationships while completing requests and responding to inquiries
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and business development
- Administrative Duties: Coordinate and expedite the flow of information to provide support to our internal and external customers as needed
- Coordinate with Account Specialist or Salesperson to make discretionary decisions as it relates to order fulfillment and returns processing
- Complete daily review of opportunities and quotes, open orders, and unresolved customer issues
- Track and update activities and tasks
- Other essential functions
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or sales support experience is preferred.
- Intermediate level computer skills are required. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Math competencies including unit conversions and basic operations
Work Environment: This position requires the ability to work in a typical office environment, interfacing with computers and other office equipment much of the day. Shippers Supply is now a hybrid work environment, where most of our office employees work in the building about 60% of the time and remote 40% of the time, depending on department needs
