OVERVIEW

As a Strategist for the Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Practice, you’ll work with enterprise and SMB B2B and B2C clients to solve complex marketing, sales, and related business challenges. Clients come to us seeking support to up-level their go-to-market maturity and increase marketing ROI. This role is ideal for someone looking for growth, learning, and the chance to focus on building GTM strategy versus tactical execution.

The role of the Strategist is to:

  • Execute on diverse consulting projects, with a focus on strategic marketing initiatives and strategy.
  • Apply buyer/customer experience insights to enhance strategy and impact through completed deliverables
  • Assess clients’ overall GTM effectiveness (people, process, systems)
  • Provide guidance to clients in a wide range of industries, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop solutions for complex marketing, sales, and organizational challenges, with the support of other specialists on the GTM Strategy team.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Deliver high-quality work efficiently and independently while collaborating with team members.

The Strategist will join a team of highly skilled marketing domain experts and consultants that support our clients on nearly every aspect of go-to-market planning and strategy, from audience, competitive, and other research; to campaign ideation and strategy; to proper utilization of martech solutions.

Reporting directly to the GTM Strategy Practice Lead, the Strategist will own project execution and solutioning for the client engagements they work on, with support from the team and their manager. In some cases, the Strategist will have the opportunity to lead smaller engagements independently with as-needed coaching and support from their manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage work across multiple clients to efficiently deliver Go-to-Market projects, including:
    • Ongoing verbal and written client communication and updates
    • Coordination with other specialists and teams involved in the project
  • Assess sales and marketing programs and materials and conduct discovery research with key client stakeholders to identify areas for optimization (targeting, messaging, channel selection, tactical execution, technology enablement).
  • Create decks, playbooks, and other deliverables that summarize key findings, recommendations, and go-forward strategy.
  • Build marketing strategies and approaches that the client and/or other Shift Paradigm practices can execute on.
  • Manage relationships with clients and deliver an excellent client experience at every stage of an engagement.
EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years of experience building and executing effective B2B and B2C multichannel marketing programs, from ideation to measurement.
  • Ability to guide clients through the development of go-to-market strategies and models (demand generation, account-based marketing, PLG, e-commerce, channel).
  • Able to assess the quality and effectiveness of client marketing and sales efforts, and design solutions to improve them.
  • Experience using a variety of Marketing Technology tools including marketing automation, customer relationship management, and reporting.
  • Account-based marketing (ABM) experience required.
  • Consulting and/or agency experience a plus.
  • Product Marketing experience a plus.
