Overview

The Sr. Technical QA Specialist will be responsible for validating the quality and stability of our end-to-end CRM campaigns, beginning with data provisioning and targeting accuracy and concluding with HTML coding inbox renderability for extremely complex email campaigns. Working hand in hand with our data, email operations and front end development teams, you will be evaluating the quality and stability of solutions and ensuring that they are in accordance with the project requirements and client deadlines.

Responsibilities 

  • Create, maintain and test against project test plans and test cases
  • Perform testing of solutions including:
    • Email campaigns across desktop, mobile and web-based email clients
    • Web sites, including desktop, mobile and responsive, across different web browsers, operating systems and clients
    • Desktop, mobile and web-based applications and services
  • Identify, log and track issues identified during testing phases
  • Assure the integrity between solution deliverables and project requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Quality Assurance best practices and tools
  • Refine and improve upon existing testing best practices and processes
  • Test and troubleshoot inbox deliverability of emails
  • Gather, analyze and report key metrics on performance of email operations
  • Maintain compliance protocols and implement best practices

Experience/Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred, but not required
  • Attention to detail with excellent organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience working with bug tracking tools such as Mantis, Jira, or Bugzilla
  • Familiarity with waterfall and agile development process
  • Understanding of email marketing compliance and best practices
  • Proficient with Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android operating systems
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Mac Mail
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Photoshop is a plus
  • Experience with Litmus and Email on Acid
  • Hands-on experience with an email marketing tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Selligent Marketing Cloud, Cordial, Responsys, Emarsys, Marketo, etc.) is a plus
  • Willingness to learn AmpScript, Smarty, or other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of best practices for email deployment practices, data, analytics, segmentation, list management dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, etc.

As required by law, Shift Paradigm provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington. The salary range for these residents is $75,000.00 to $90,000.00. Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to role, skillset, relevant education, level of experience, certifications, etc. In addition to base salary, Shift Paradigm offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, Life/AD&D, Flexible Paid Time Off, and various other ancillary benefits and perks.
