In this role, you can use these strengths to clean common / public areas and assist our maintenance service team members in more involved projects. Above all, live out your spirit to serve on a daily basis by maintaining positive relationships with peers, residents, and all whom you support in this role. Where will this role work?Autumn Ridge Apartments is a large, 366-unit residential apartment housing complex in Brooklyn Park, MN. Schedule & Hours:The core schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday; 8 AM - 4:30 PM. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintains exterior grounds and interior common areas in quality, presentable condition. This will include but is not limited to the following:Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines; as applicable.Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.May also sweep walks, rake leaves, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.1-3 years of experience in custodial or janitorial work. Ideally in residential or commercial real estate.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with community tenants, vendors / external parties, and across corporate divisions.A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.Work/Office hours may vary due to the specific needs of the portfolio.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
