The Help Desk Technician II is responsible for responding to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
â Promote a high level of customer satisfaction through proper telephone, email, and chat solution techniques, and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to user problems
â Identify, research and resolves technical problems
â Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
â Assist in tracking help desk calls pertaining to application, networking, and systems problems and issues
â Promote a high level of customer satisfaction through proper telephone techniques, and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to user problems
â Correct application issues, solve network and security problems and identify common PC software and hardware problems
â Provide hardware support of PCs and Laptops, such as installing drivers or upgrading hardware
â Support Software/Hardware on equipment such as, Scanners, Copiers, Printers, Monitors and other peripherals
â Provide support for Windows 7 and Windows 10 by evaluating and troubleshooting issues including running in-depth diagnostics
â Assign user-name, password and access right permissions for multiple proprietary applications, as well as client software
â Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education/Requirements:
â High school diploma or GED required
â Associate degree is preferred
â Minimum 1 year of related work experience required
â Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
â Computer literate and familiar with help desk procedures
â Knowledge of systems software sufficient to determine if a malfunction is in the hardware or in the software
â Ability to install and deploy Windows based computers
â Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
â Knowledge of Internet Explorer software usage and configuration
Physical Requirements:
â Ability to sit for up to 80% of time
â Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required
â Frequent use of computer, telephone, and office equipment (copier, fax, scanner)
