Technical Director Job Description The Technical Director is responsible for the shape and direction of Shadow Hills’ audio, video, lighting, and technology (AVLT) ministry by leading, coordinating, developing and maintaining a quality team of volunteers and staff. He/she must instill excellence and remain current on trends and offerings that are relevant to the area of AVLT within church ministry. The Technical Director is responsible for all AVLT elements pertaining to weekend worship services and any/all church function under the direction of the Lead Pastor. The Technical Director will be expected to make himself/herself available for any other projects deemed appropriate and offer his/her time, skills, and gifts as they apply toward the ongoing welfare and edification of the Body of Christ at Shadow Hills Church. General Responsibilities The workweek for the position of Technical Director is Full-Time. The Technical Director reports directly to the Lead Pastor. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Oversee all technical and creative production of the weekend services. Recruit, train, develop and manage the technical team comprised of volunteers and staff. Produce a level of excellence with AVLT so as to provide worship service elements that engage the church body in worship. Maintain an attitude of continual learning and constant striving for excellence. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Worship Coordinator to dream and cast vision for development of the Shadow Hills AVLT Ministry. Repair and maintain AVLT equipment and supplies. Implement and improve upon procedures and communication within the AVLT ministry and the general staff. Spiritual and Personal Minimum Requirements Maintain a life of personal and spiritual development and accountability Refrain from any social or private behavior considered or interpreted as unbecoming of a devoted follower of Christ. This includes personal social media presence. Professional A Bachelors Degree in the course study of AVLT or at least five (5) years experience in AVLT. Leadership ability, including conflict management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi task and problem solve in a high pressure and fast paced environment. A willingness and desire to learn and grow Passion for Serving the Church.
