We’re looking for an innovative Sr. Mechanical Design Packaging Engineer to play a critical role in taking our Space & Defense Group’s actuation systems to the next level of performance. Company is a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of high performance motion control products and systems, and the electronic systems that we develop must operate in the most demanding launch and space environments. These systems are absolutely imperative to mission success, and this is where you have an opportunity to make a critical impact.
If you thrive on creating leading edge packaging solutions for state-of-the-art power, control, and data acquisition systems, you really should consider joining our team. This role won’t be without its technical challenges though – high power dissipations, high voltages, and extreme thermal and dynamic environments are some of the hurdles you’ll need to overcome. Your experience with high power and/or high voltage systems in military or aerospace electronics hardware mechanical design will play an important part in overcoming these challenges.
In order for you to be successful in this role, we would expect that you’d have a Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience with the packaging of electronics systems intended to be used in severe thermal and dynamic environments. A Bachelor's Degree will also be considered with the appropriate experience. You will also need to be knowledgeable of materials and processes relevant to aerospace electronics, be familiar with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-1540, and have experience with contemporary solid modeling tools such as Unigraphics NX. Experience with thermal and structural analysis of aerospace electronics systems is also required.
Company creates exceptional opportunities for flexible, enthusiastic people who want to do important work at the cutting edge of technology. Company is a performance culture that empowers and inspires individuals to achieve remarkable things - for our customers, for the company and for each other. We work in an environment where people trust, respect and encourage one another. We believe in our people and it shows in everything we do.
