Job Summary:

The Creative Manager is a collaborative role ensuring effective, accurate, and consistent branding to key internal and external audiences across multiple communications platforms aligned with Service Coordination's strategic and programmatic priorities. The Creative Manager works closely with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute design concepts, participates in strategy sessions, project input meetings and brainstorming teams. The Creative Manager is responsible for updating and implementing the SCI brand guidelines to create compelling content and visual elements for print, online and digital marketing campaigns. This role is also instrumental in maintaining the overall external and internal branding for SCI. The primary purpose of this position is to create innovative and passionate design solutions.

Essential Duties:

  • Creative Leader. In partnership with the head of the Marcom, you will lead the in-house creative initiatives to concept, develop, and execute brand creative across a variety of platforms for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marcom to develop creative concepts that are innovative, thoughtful and algin with the principles of accessible design.
  • Collaboration. Work closely with the Marcom team to develop and execute design concepts that align with the Strategic Plan.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director to develop and creation of marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met
  • Translate creative requests into design briefs that align project objectives between client service and creative teams.
  • Complete special projects or perform other duties as needed to meet departmental goals.
  • Shows creative vision in all aspects of their role from materials to people we support to company initiatives, from a proactive approach.
  • Develop and implement a process for managing creative assets

  • Participate in meetings and training sessions that offer learning opportunities and that promote and enhance skills and professional development.
  • Ensure that assigned organizational project objectives are met.

Required Competencies:

  • 5- 10 years relevant art manager and/or graphic design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating your innovative work across multiple platforms
  • Experience managing multiple high level and fast paced projects at the same time, meeting deadlines, budget & objectives
  • Advanced skills in Adobe creative suite, PowerPoint, Keynote, Figma
  • Familiarity and experience creating visual content for social media platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into compelling stories
  • Ability to work effectively in both a quick-turn-around atmosphere as well as part of longer range produced projects.
  • Ideal candidate has experience in organizational and client side roles in fast-paced environments.
  • Content management system and asset management platform familiarity a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and initiatives; familiarity with project management and multi-tasking capabilities; ability to work with independence and flexibility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external groups such as People & Culture, Program Directors, I.T., government and community groups
  • Professional presence. Natural ability to represent SCI internally and externally in a consistent manner.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and a professional demeanor which interacts clearly, and effectively with all organizational leaders and employees.
  • Manages time and resources effectively while balancing the highest priorities of the organization.
  • Possess a high level of learning agility for continuous development.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing applications.
  • Ability to act in a manner that reflects well on the organization, and to respect the confidential nature of information.
  • Have a reliable automobile to travel to meetings, etc. and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field


  • 5-8 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with content generation, marketing, marketing automation, collateral development, advertising, PR, photography, video production, websites, social media, digital asset development, etc.
  • Experience in brand building and brand management, development of messaging and position platforms, strategic communications planning
  • Familiarity with the fields of intellectual and developmental disabilities, older adults, medically complex needs, human services, case management, and/or nonprofits a plus
