Quality Control Technician

Job Description

 This individual must be a self-motivated, detail oriented and energetic technician that will work closely with the production, application, and office teams. This entry-level non-exempt position in the Quality Control department is located in Newark, Delaware. 

Requirements:

·  Associate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a similar science discipline.

·   Familiar with HPLC instrumentation and different LC separation techniques.

·   Experience in laboratory/research work.

·   Ability to communicate experiment results through proper record keeping.

·   Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills.

·   Attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

·   Perform quality control testing of HPLC columns.

·   Assure timely completion of testing documentation.

·   Generate quality control test results by following Standard Operating Procedures.

·   Ensure test methods are validated or verified as appropriate to the method.

·   Perform order fulfillment as per the customer’s/supplier’s requirements.

·   Assure timely completion of testing documentation.

·   Preparation of samples, solutions and/or resins.

·   Performance of general housekeeping maintenance in the laboratory and cleanliness in work areas.

·   Observe safety precautions as outlined in safety manuals and training.
