Department: Independent Living Skills and Supported Living Services
Position: Programs Director
Definition: The Programs Director oversees the programmatic function of the organization to include the day-to-day operations of the agency’s Independent Living Services and Supported Living Services Including the supervision of the Program ILS Coaches. This management, referral, assessment, intake, and coordination services.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science with an emphasis in Social Services or related field. A minimum of four years of program experience and two years of experience as a supervisor. Prior experience in a non-profit environment working with the developmentally disabled population is preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and math skills. Knowledge of computers required - G-Suite, Excel, Work, Android operating system, and macOS. Prior experience and skill with case management, assessment, and analysis are required. Knowledge and experience of Title 17 and the DDS system, securing and managing applicable public benefits is required. Ability to lead, multi-task, and meet deadlines is a must. Individuals must possess initiative and work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
Reports/Accountable To Chief Executive Officer.

The overall direction of the ILS program and Supported Living Services.
Maintain program budget, ensure POS contracts are renewed, and ensure completion of monthly program billing for ILS.
Promote program/ agency services to the community, including the recruitment of new clients.
Maintain positive relations with Regional Centers, School Districts, Housing Authority, IHSS, and other agencies and public entities as applicable.
Work with the HR Manager to meet recruitment needs. Administer staff training within the program and throughout the agency, to further staff job knowledge and development of the agency.
Direct supervision, assessment, and training of ILS Coaches & Personal Attendants.
Understand and Management of employees to follow policies and procedures and employee handbook.
Administer training within the program and throughout Sentry Living Solutions, to further staff knowledge and development of the agency.
Adhere to Sentry Living Solutions’ policies and procedures.
Attend training pertaining to the field to further personal job development, knowledge.
Facilitate communication with families, case managers, and others as they apply to the organization and clientele.
Oversee the development of support plans for clientele and ensure the principles of Person-Centered Planning.
Commitment to Excellence beyond ASPIRE CARF principles.
Perform Assessments on new prospective clients as required. Perform ongoing assessment of current client’s abilities, needs choices, and adjust client’s support where appropriate, per the ID Team.
Oversee Quality Assurance practices to ensure client satisfaction and program quality through the organization. Perform program evaluation/assessment as required.
Design clients ISP with educational/ learning objectives to see the progress with collectible data.
The familiarity of and ensure that the organization’s program is in compliance with Title 17 regulations.
Attend clients and other meetings as required.
Serve as an Administrative Team Member of the organization; serve on-call rotation every 7-8 weeks; participate in organization committees, events as required or assigned.
Visiting clients weekly.
Supervising Staff in the field weekly.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
