Reporting to the Marketing Manager, The Marketing Specialist, Bio Nutrients will assist with the planning or execution of marketing activities. The position requires close interaction with Sales, R&D and management to ensure collateral and other marketing materials accurately reflect our company and brands. The Marketing Specialist markets products by developing and implementing marketing materials, maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and trade shows; maintaining databases, managing customer pricing and developing presentations.
Work closely with the Bio Nutrients Marketing Manager to create and develop both brand and communication strategies that are in line with company objectives.
Serve as liaison between Sensient and freelance talent, print suppliers, and other marketing services.
Manage trade show coordination by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules & assignments and coordinating marketing materials.
Monitor Bio Nutrients departmental spend versus budget and share with Marketing Manager monthly.
Manage promotional material inventory, spend and distribution.
Responsible for providing accurate price and margins to the sales team to deliver maximum profitability.
Perform margin and pricing analysis monthly to support key business initiatives and identify & resolve issues.
Develop in-house design for custom materials using Adobe programs and other software for developing web content.
Gather market research per the request of the marketing manager.
Create customer presentations as needed.
Develop and maintain marketing database, mailing list, graphic library, etc.
Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
Create and manage calendar of events for annual marketing campaigns.
Assist in developing marketing RFPs.
Manage internal communications to keep sales and management informed of upcoming activities.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, minimum 1-2 years' experience in Marketing. Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Sales Force, Smart Draw, MindMap. Strong communication skills (written & oral), able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines, good project management skills, sound understanding of the principles of marketing, creative and innovative, good attention to detail. Team player.
