The Role:

The VP, Strategic Delivery & Program Management (SDPM) is responsible for working across business lines to define and execute strategic initiatives while seizing essential advantages by defining, evaluating, and prioritizing solutions and program needs for optimal results. With ongoing responsibility for analyzing business and market trends, this leader will work with the business leaders to make decisions that will enable Selene to improve competitiveness, profitability and ultimately shareholder value.  As an accomplished problem solver, the VP, SDPM will draw from deep business experience to optimize performance, financial needs, and opportunities for more efficient delivery.  The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate a proven track record of effective business leadership, bottom line growth and a deep understanding of the mortgage and/or financial services industry.  They have demonstrated their ability to marshal cross-functional resources for results that meet or surpass expectations. The SDPM will collaborate extensively with the business leaders, the executive leadership team, key clients, and our owners, Pretium.


How you will contribute:

As the VP, Strategic Delivery & Program Management, you will:

Drive Strategy & Execution

  • Guide staff to create industry leading processes with effective automation and controls to ensure compliance, provide consistent customer experience, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Solve complex problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks
  • Oversee development and implementation of policy and operating procedures for effective business operations, program management & execution
  • Create plans that have clear and measurable success criteria, milestones, team structure, deliverables
  • Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends, environments, and perspectives
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
  • Work with Operational Risk to identify and mitigate risk, and improve the quality assurance process
  • Develop and drive business strategy to make businesses more valuable and grow sustainable revenue
  • Contribute to the development of Selene sales processes and structures through entrepreneurial, proactive, and productive engagement
  • Prioritize what needs to be done and rallies colleagues to get things accomplished; "roll up the sleeves" type of attitude
  • Perform research/analysis across related industries and structure approaches/presentations for adding value in complex business analysis
  • Both insightful and creative with strong problem-solving skills with a practical, "real-world" sense of what is actually possible; able to harness knowledge and expertise of the best content to support business growth
  • Strategic planning to achieve organizational goals

Own Program Management

  • Work across the enterprise with all functions (sales, IT, HR, legal, risk, etc.) in partnership with Operations leadership
  • Remain organized and track multiple deadlines/tasks
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Work in an extremely fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
  • Show ability to resolve problems, identify issues, and drive resolution
  • Manage vendor relationships for program implementation
  • Handle risk management functions to identify and mitigate business risks
  • Navigate regulatory complexities to deliver mortgage solutions to a global and domestic client base
    • Partner with appropriate controls teams on maintaining & enhancing a robust risk framework that facilitates compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements across multiple US States & other jurisdictions where mortgages are offered
    • Conduct viability assessments and execute on expanding Mortgage Capabilities into new products, features, & markets
  • Foster partnerships to identify and develop opportunities to increase market share and client penetration of mortgages
  • Collaborate closely with operations and technology partners to drive process efficiencies, and help ensure a best-in-class client experience

Build & Develop Staff

  • Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas
  • Build the operations talent pipeline through strategic assignments within program management and engagement with strategically targeted projects
  • Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
  • Directly a lead small team on problem solving, work-planning, research, analytics, allocating, reviewing and overall content and materials for business leader and/or client discussions
  • Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs and work towards it
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills


Skills you will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience working as an operational leader with responsibility for daily execution and strategy development
  • 5-7 years of experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
  • Experience leading a business and using data and metrics to determine outcomes
  • Demonstrated program management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and proliferate the Selene Culture that drives our values of People First, Ownership, Excellence in Execution, Teamwork, Integrity, and Customer Focus
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize
  • Passion for building, maintaining, and delivering measured profitable growth; consistently thinks and "plays" like a business owner
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and achieve expected results
  • Ability to create and manage budgets, reporting variances and providing mitigation plans for negative variances
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
  • Strong data analysis skills with six sigma experience or certification
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, and Asana
  • High degree of integrity
