Job Description
A family-owned Harvesting company is seeking a head accountant. The accountant will be responsible in accounting for company financials, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, invoicing and oversee payroll functions to ensure compliance. Position begins full time at 40hrs/wk. with flexible schedule within normal business hours, that ranges from Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Accounting for company financials
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Pay payroll quarterly and yearly taxes, W-2
  • Invoicing and reconcile accounts receivable/accounts payable
  • Be able to analyze and advice on company financials
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Journal entry
  • Bookkeeping
  • Prepare any reports as required
  • Mail checks to venders and file backup documentation
  • 10-key
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Experience with accounting software and data entry
  • Knowledgeable in accounting rules and procedures
  • Advance knowledge and experience in spreadsheet/ Excel
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, and payroll taxes.
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field/ or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred .
  • At least 1 to 3 years of related experience required.
  • Any experience in the Ag office setting is a PLUS
  • Understanding of core accounting principles such as credit and debit payments, general ledger accounting, and collections practices.
