Embedded Systems Engineer

SeeScan is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer with a background in developing embedded software. Our ideal candidate demonstrates a strong aptitude for problem solving and has real-world experience implementing practical solutions in microcontroller software.

Your Mission

In this position, you will be responsible for using your experience with microcontroller software to help us create the next generation of video pipe inspection and utility location products. We are dynamic engineering and manufacturing company, and the software that powers our equipment is essential to our success.

Responsibilities

·         Design and implement embedded software on ARM microcontroller boards.

·         Interface sensors to microcontrollers.

·         Work with system specifications to implement, verify, and test embedded systems drivers and algorithms.

·         Create design documentation and test plans.

·         Participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

·         Experience programming embedded systems in C/C++.

·         Specific experience working with ARM Cortex processors, especially NXP LPC multi-core microcontrollers.

·         Able to make effective use of multi-core and multi-processor systems.

·         Knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronics test equipment, such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.

·         Familiarity with revision control systems, preferably Git.

·         Math or science background.

·         Proven track record of successful problem solving.

·         Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills.

Helpful to Have

·         Verilog experience.

·         Experience with MEMs sensors.

·         Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques, especially Kalman filtering.

·         Experience developing code for Linux OS.

·         Familiarity with Altium Designer.

·         Experience working with Microchip PIC.

Education and Experience

·         Minimum BS CE, EE, CS or related.

·         Relevant programming experience.
